NEW COMEDY WEB SERIES: DAY JOB BY SARA SCHAEFER

Comedian Sara Schaefer just released a new comedy web series called “Day Job” that I am obsessing over… reminds me of my days in the cubicle at corporate jobs.

On her website she said, “Day Job was inspired by my 5-year stint working at a high-powered New York City law firm while pursuing comedy. Each episode is simply a moment or feeling that the job gave me. There’s no real narrative here, just snapshots of what it’s like working at a job you hate – while pursuing what you love.”

I think we’ve all been there at one point or another in our lives.

She released the whole series at once so watch and obsess too!

Jimmy Kimmel Live’s Lie Witness News - SXSW Edition

Check out these people pretending to know about fake bands… I like that they mention a fake Park Slope band called Hannah and the Baby Bjorns. Would love it more if it were Stroller Gang, lol.

Also who wants to start the band Neil Patrick Harassment? Why does that not already exist?

MEMORIAL BENEFIT: THE JOE FASHION NIGHT OUT
It has been a while since I’ve posted on this blog. As a writer and long time music industry-er, I’ve met lots of wonderful people. One included Mr. Joe Fiorentino, bassist of Social Registry band Artanker Convoy, who I was honored to have managed for a bit.
It was with great shock that I received the news that “Joe Fashion” passed away in his sleep on Wednesday last week. To have someone so young, and so giving, and so talented taken away without any warning was incomprehensible.
At first I didn’t believe it. I thought, certainly, it must be someone else they are talking about. Joe was always seemingly healthy and bright and full of life… But as I got the phone call confirming his death, I realized it was true.
There are few words that can really express the sorrow that his family and friends feel. We can only react by coming together to throw a benefit to help his wife and 2 kids get through this challenging period in life and to honor the awesomeness that was Joe. The awesomeness that he inspired in life continues. Please save the date and join us on December 5th at The Gutter in Williamsburg! Details to follow soon, but here’s a flyer above.
